When Hercules took on visiting Kennedy in its annual grudge match, Hercules was supposed to wear dark jerseys, according to the Richmond Confidential.

Gray was the darkest Hercules had at the moment, so the officials gave the Titans the OK to wear its gray while Kennedy donned its away whites.

But it didn't take Hercules star Joshua Jackson to show his true colors as he bolted 76 yards for a touchdown to give the Titans a 7-0 first-quarter lead en route to a 34-33 victory.

That was the kind of effort Hercules got all season from Jackson. The 5-foot-9, 195-pound senior rushed for 1,314 yards and 16 touchdowns on 105 carries. He also caught eight passes for 75 yards and one score. On defense, Jackson averaged 4.7 tackles per game from his middle linebacker position and had two fumble recoveries.

Jackson's excellence helped lead Hercules to a 9-2 overall record and a perfect (5-0) league slate.

Prowes rushed for 1,023 yards and 11 touchdowns on 53 carries and caught 26 passes for 523 yards and two scores. On defense he averaged 2.9 tackles per game and had three interceptions.

Timoteo rushed for 1,488 yards and 14 touchdowns on 158 carries.

Weaver averaged three tackles per game and caused one fumble.
