1 (last week: 1) SACRED HEART CATHEDRAL (19-4)
Last week: def. Archbishop Mitty, 47-43; next: WCAL semifinals (2/14)

The Irish took down defending league, CCS and state champs Mitty to capture the WCAL regular season crown and No. 1 seed in the WCAL tournament, which opens Tuesday.

2 (2) ARCHBISHOP MITTY (18-6)
Last week: def. Valley Christian, 52-23, lost to Sacred Heart Cathedral, 47-43; next: vs. Notre Dame-Belmont in WCAL playoffs (2/12)

The Monarchs fell short of repeating as WCAL champions, but still have their sites set on even higher prizes. The defending state champs open WCAL tournament play against Notre Dame-Belmont, a team it beat by an average of 40 points during the regular season.

3 (3) EASTSIDE COLLEGE PREP (18-5)
Last week: def. Pinewood, 47-34, def. Castilleja, 68-29; next: WBAL playoffs (TBD)

Eastside Prep defeated Pinewood in the big showdown for the WBAL Foothill Division regular-season title behind 22 points and 12 rebounds from Hashima Carothers.

4 (4) ST. FRANCIS (18-6)
Last week: def. Presentation, 29-23; next: vs. Valley Christian in WCAL playoffs (2/12)

It was a struggle, but the Lancers finished off the regular season with a 29-23 victory over Presentation to seal the No. 3 spot in the WCAL final rankings. St. Francis has had some trouble with its first round opponent, however, defeating Valley Christian twice by a total of just 14 points during the regular season.

5 (5) ST. IGNATIUS (17-7)
Last week: def. Notre Dame-Belmont, 62-30, def. Presentation, 51-26; next: vs. Presentation in WCAL playoffs (2/12)

The Wildcats have had their way with Presentation this season, defeating the Panthers twice by an average of 26 points during the regular season; if that trend holds, St. Ignatius gets another shot at City rival and top seed Sacred Heart Cathedral in the semis.
