NCL I Player of the Year
SEBASTIAN SEGURA, RB, ST. HELENA

In terms of career highlights, it was tough to top the Kelseyville game for Sebastian Segura.

The St. Helena running back scampered for a school-record 270 yards and scored four touchdowns in a 47-20 victory. He also set school records for single-season rushing (1,717 yards) and career rushing (2,728).

"I was pretty excited," Segura said. "When I get the ball I just try to get to the end zone as fast as I can."

Segura formerly lived in Napa and moved to St. Helena toward the end of his freshman year -- though he has always attended St. Helena. He had uncles who played at Calistoga High and said he enjoys football because he "loves the contact."

Segura plans to play next season at Santa Rosa Community College. His prized possession is his Ford F-150 truck and he said he may pursue becoming an auto mechanic.
