MVAL Player of the Year
NATE WOUDSTRA, RB, WASHINGTON

Washington won the Mission Valley Athletic League title this season and running back Nathan Woudstra was one of the biggest reasons.

Woudstra showed his value against Newark Memorial, running for 247 yards, with 210 of those yards and three touchdowns coming in the first half alone.

His 65-yard TD run tied the game in the first quarter and then two more rushing scores put Washington in the lead for good.

"I'm glad to have Nate," Washington offensive line coach Gary Comlon told Prep2Prep. "He took the team on his shoulders tonight, and when we needed the yardage he got it for us. He has been doing it for us all year, offensively and defensively.”

Added Woudstra that night: “Our main goal was to win league and that’s really what I wanted to do ... I was able to make a big run and bring our teams confidence back up. All I wanted to do was to get this team the win.”

That's what Woudstra did all season long in leading the Huskies to a 6-0 MVAL record.
