Prep2Prep is releasing computer rankings using a proprietary algorithm that rates what a team has accomplished up to this point in the season. The Prep2Prep computer rankings take into account a team's body of work by assessing its results, strength of schedule, margin of victory, etc. It is intended to be a completely objective ranking based on what a team has accomplished on the field.

The ratings points are calculated as an average points per game; points are awarded based on a team's result, strength of opponent and margin of victory - though the margin of victory is capped so as not to overly reward teams for running up the score.
