The Bay Valley Athletic League released its all-league girls basketball awards this week, after Heritage won the league title for the second straight season.
The Patriots went 10-0 in league play, and defeated Berkeley on Wednesday in the NCS Division 1 semifinals to reach the championship game against Carondelet. They are also headed back to the CIF NorCal championships.
Sophomore Jordan Sweeney took home the league's Most Valuable Player award, after earning first-team honors as a freshman. Sweeney controlled the floor for the Patriots, running their transition offense and also serving as one of the team's top scorers.
