Former Los Gatos QB Brown commits to Hawaii

June 4, 2016

Former Los Gatos High quarterback Dru Brown has committed to Hawaii.

Brown played last season at the College of San Mateo.

“I just went on my visit and had a really good time with the coaches,” Brown told scout.com. “I felt like it was a good spot for me. It felt a lot like home. It was a very similar feeling as when I visited College of San Mateo. That’s why I picked Hawaii. It felt like home and since the coaches seem to really care about me and the team… I talked it over with my family and my coaches at my junior college and felt like it was a good fit.”

At CSM last fall Brown threw for 1,900 yards with eight touchdowns and rushed for 188 yards and six TDs.

Brown played behind Nick Bawden at Los Gatos until Bawden moved on and then started his senior year for the Wildcats.
