SAN JOSE - Senior Sean Juanes hit seven 3-pointers to lead Wilcox to a 72-56 win over Harker Wednesday night in the first round of the James Lick Invitational.
Juanes finished 23 points on 7-of-9 3-pointers as the Chargers (1-0) moved onto the second round to face Pioneer, a 63-39 winner over Andrew Hill. Harker will move into the consolation bracket to take on Andrew Hill.
"I want to be remembered as one one of the best shooters (in Wilcox history)," said Juanes "We have a good season ahead and we're going to do our best to perform our best every game - we have high expectations to finish in the top three in our league."
Senior twins Franchon Butler and Deshawn Butler added 18 and 13 points, respectively for Wilcox. Senior guard Eric Jeong led Harker with 16 points.
