Branham advanced to the Open semifinals with a 3-1 overtime victory over Serra. Senior Ian Hutt scored 3 goals for the Bruins, who host Bellarmine Tuesday night in the semis.
Watsonville needed overtime to avenge a regular-season loss to Lincoln, winning 2-0 to advance to the CCS Open semifinals. The Wildcatz host Saint Francis Tuesday night.
Bellarmine held off a late Burlingame challenge to post a 3-2 win in the Open quarterfinals. The Bells visit Branham Tuesday in the semifinals.
Alisal edged San Benito 2-1 in the first round of the CCS Division 1 playoffs, setting up a rematch with PCAL-Gabilan rival North Salinas in the semifinals. The teams split their matchups during the regular season.
Saint Francis knocked off SCVAL-DA champ Santa Clara 2-0 in the first round of the Open Division playoffs. The third-seeded Lancers travel to Watsonville to take on the Wildcatz Tuesday.
