In West Bay Athletic League play, the Menlo girls soccer team defeated Woodside Priory 2-0, scoring goals in each half Thursday at home.
In a match moved to Menlo due to field conditions, the Knights kept possession about 80 percent of the time. Sophomore Ashley Grady scored in the 21st minute then junior Gabby Kogler would score on a Sidney Peña assist, with just over two minutes left in the match.
Menlo held a 13-1 shot advantage and freshman Samantha Sellers recorded the shutout.
The Knights improved to 3-3-4 overall with the win, and 2-0 in WBAL action. They head to Carmel on Saturday for a non-league match. Woodside Priory fell to 1-7-1, 0-2 with the loss and heads to The King's Academy on Tuesday, Jan. 21 to resume league play.
