SAN JOSE, CA - Gunderson, led by Tyler Higgins, defeated Independence 8-4 April 10 in a BVAL-Mt. Hamilton game.
It was 3-3 until Gunderson erupted with five runs in the top of the sixth inning.
Higgins went 4-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and three runs batted in. Also pacing the Grizzlies were Tony Eliason with three hits and two RBI, Isiah Guzman with two hits and Jovon Nelson with two hits and one RBI.
Gunderson (7-9, 6-7) out-hit Independence (9-8, 9-5) 13-9.
