Da'hareeha Allen and William Bradford each rushed for a score to lift San Mateo kept its CCS playoff hopes alive with a hard-fought 30-21 win over visiting Mills Friday night in a PAL-Lake matchup.
The Bearcats (6-2, 2-2 PAL-Lake) have a shot at one of the three at-large berths in the lower-division playoffs thanks to the efforts of Allen (11 rushes, 83 yards) and Bradford (4, 32). Junior Noa Mandord also caught a 51-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Jose Ontiveros.
San Mateo faces off with rival Burlingame (5-3) Saturday in the "Little Big Game" while Mills (3-5, 1-2) travels to Capuchino (2-6, 0-3) for a PAL-Lake contest.
