San Benito clinched a CCS playoff bid Friday night with a 60-30 win over visiting North Salinas in an MBL-Gabilan game.
The Haybalers (6-3, 4-2 MBL-Gabilan), ranked No. 16 in the Prep2Prep CCS Top 25, guaranteed a top four finish in the MBL-Gabilan and the automatic playoff bid that comes with it. Junior Stevan Navarro led a potent rushing attack with 194 yards and three touchdowns, while junior Slade Wilson added 105 yards and two scores on seven carries and senior Jonny Gonzalez pitched in with 80 yards and a score.
San Benito finishes the regular season Friday night at No. 14 Palma (5-4, 4-2); North Salinas (1-8, 0-6) travels to Alvarez (2-6, 0-5) in a key game for MBL-Gabilan survival.
