Senior quarterback Cameron Rottler acounted for five touchdowns as Westmont kept its BVAL-Mount Hamilton Division title hopes alive with a 48-13 win at Leigh Friday night.
Rottler completed 10 of 13 passes for 224 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 76 yards and a score for the Warriors (6-2, 3-2 BVAL-MH), who remained a game behind first-place Oak Grove (4-4, 4-1). The two teams meet Friday night in San Jose. Senior Casey Horwitz caught two passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns.
Leigh (4-4, 1-4) was led by senior Mason Peterson, who caught four passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Junior quarterback Kyle Albert was held to 129 yards passing on just 10 of 23 completions. The Longhorns host Lincoln (2-6, 2-3) Friday night in a key game to avoid potential relegation to the BVAL-Santa Teresa Division next season.
