Mountain View vaults to the top spot in the final rankings by virtue of its first-ever CCS Open Division championship. And North Salinas rages into the rankings with its run through the CCS Division 4 playoffs in the final Prep2Prep CCS Top 25 boys soccer rankings.

Mountain View became the first team from the SCVAL to win the CCS Open Division title, beating Alisal 1-0 in the final. The Spartans then got past Sac-Joaquin Section power Whitney in penalties to reach the CIF NorCal semifinals. The Spartans visit Clovis North Thursday afternoon.

After leading the rankings for most of the season, it's a tough break to drop Alisal to No. 2. The Trojans finished their remarkable season with a 1-0 loss in overtime against NCS power Monte Vista in the NorCal CIF Division 1 playoffs.

Saint Francis' season ended in the first round of the CCS Open Division playoffs against Mountain View. The teams tied 0-0 and the Spartans won on penalty kicks.

Mitty held 1-0 halftime leads in its final two games, but wound up losing to Alisal 4-1 in the CCS Open semifinals and 2-1at Jesuit in the NorCal CIF Division 2 playoffs.

Bellarmine captured the CCS Division 1 title with a penalty-kick shootout win over WCAL rival St. Ignatius in the semifinal and a 4-1 win over Pajaro Valley in the championship. The Bells also advanced to the NorCal CIF Division 2 semifinals with a 1-0 win at Bishop O'Dowd. Bellarmine visits Jesuit Thursday afternoon.

St. Ignatius' season ended in a penalty-kick shootout loss to WCAL rival Bellarmine in the CCS Division 1 semifinals.

Sacred Heart Prep lost 2-0 to Mountain View in the CCS Open Division semifinals and then was bounced from the NorCal CIF Division 2 playoffs in a penalty-kick shootout against Chico.

Palo Alto won the SCVAL-DA title on the final day of the regular season, but had its season end in a narrow 1-0 loss at No. 1 Alisal.

Willow Glen's season ended in a 2-0 loss to Sacred Heart Prep in the CCS Open Division playoffs.

Prospect's season ended in a 2-1 loss to Pajaro Valley in the CCS Division 1 playoffs.

Branham's season ended in a 2-0 loss to Overfelt in the CCS Division 2 semifinals.

Lincoln captured the CCS Division 3 title with a pair of 1-0 wins over SCVAL teams Los Altos and Santa Clara. The Lions' season ended in a penalty-kick shootout following a 0-0 draw at McLane.

Los Altos' season ended in a 1-0 loss to Lincoln in the CCS Division 3 semifinals.

Aragon's season ended in a 2-0 loss to Archbishop Mitty in the CCS Open Division playoffs.

Burlingame's season ended in a penalty-kick shootout loss against Los Altos in the CCS Division 3 playoffs.

Moments away from a CCS Division 2 title, Westmont conceded a late goal and then lost 2-1 in overtime against BVAL-ST West rival Overfelt.

Santa Clara got past Menlo-Atherton in penalties but lost 1-0 to Lincoln in the CCS Division 3 final.

Leigh's season ended in a 3-2 loss at Overfelt in the CCS Division 2 playoffs.

Harbor's season ended in a 2-1 loss at Westmont in the CCS Division 2 playoffs.

Ann Sobrato's season ended in a 3-2 loss at Branham in the CCS Division 2 playoffs.

North Salinas captured the CCS Division 4 title with shutout wins over Menlo in the semis and Seaside in the championship. The Vikings then advanced to the CIF NorCal semifinals with a 2-1 victory over University. North Salinas travels to Livingston Thursday.

Menlo's season ended with a 1-0 loss to North Salinas in the CCS Division 4 semifinals.

Pajaro Valley advanced to the CCS Division 1 final with a 2-1 win over Sequoia, but lost 4-1 in the championship game against Bellarmine.

Overfelt captured the CCS Division 2 title with wins over Branham in the semifinal and a dramatic come-from-behind overtime victory over Westmont in the final. Overfelt's season ended in a 2-1 loss to Terra Linda in the NorCal CIF Division 3 playoffs.

Sequoia advanced to the CCS Division 1 championship game with a 1-0 win over Hollister, but lost 2-1 to Pajaro Valley to finish the season 14-5-1.
