CCS Freshman of the Year
DANE PENDLETON, PROSPECT

Not many freshmen make the type of impact Pendleton did - especially not for a team coming off a CCS co-championship and competing in one of the toughest leagues in the section.

But Pendleton came into the Prospect program firing, scoring 10 goals to go with nine assists in leading the Panthers to a second-place tie in the finish with CCS Division I champion Lincoln. Pendleton helped Prospect overcome the loss of major scoring threat Tanner Ruddy - who missed much of his junior season to injury.

Dane is the younger brother of Mitty star Makenna Pendleton. Among his goals was a clean first-time finish in a 1-1 draw against eventual league champion Branham.

NOTE: We would like to thank our media partners, coaches, parents, players and fans for contributing photos for our all-section features. We salute all of the players that have made this a wonderful season of CCS soccer.
