THROUGH WEEK 7
Week seven shaped up to be the most interesting week of 2016 to date. Major headlines dominated the Texas news as the top ten was shaken up and many new teams were introduced to the rankings. Top ten ranked Trinity lost to a previously winless team, knocking them out of the rankings. Westlake dropped to #25 after suffering its ninth straight loss to highly ranked Lake Travis, 49-7. North Shore regained its footing, defeating highly coveted and unbeaten until the fact, Atascocita. Many new teams such as Summer Creek, Rowlett, and Cedar Ridge join the rankings as Trinity and Permian fall out.

DeSoto improved to 6-0 on the season after traveling into Grand Prarie and earning a 52-17 win.
The Highlanders jump to number two after back-to-back wins over previously undefeated teams. In its last game, The Woodlands defeated West Brook 72-7.
Allen continued to impress under new head coach Terry Gambill, defeating Plano 38-15. However, the Eagles dropped a spot due to a flawless performance from The Woodlands.
The Cavaliers destroyed rival, previously seventh ranked Westlake, for a ninth consecutive year, 49-7, to improve to 5-1.
Steele keeps on rolling, with momentum at an all time high, riding a four game win streak. The Knights most recent win was a 38-7 drubbing of New Braunfels.
After defeating #5 Trinity a week ago, it was back to business as usual for the Dragons as they defeated Lewisville 49-7.
Taylor joins a select few in 6A as one of the only remaining undefeated squads. Taylor bullied its cross town rival, Alief Elsik, 68-7, to improve to 7-0.
Klein Collins routed yet another district opponent, Klein Forest, 63-0 to stay perfect in District 15-6A play.
The Cedar Ridge Raiders proved their legit status in the last two weeks with wins in which they, combined, outscored opponents 108-10. The 7-0 Raiders are making a splash on the Texas scene thus far.
Cedar Hill climbs its way back into the top ten due to a 58-0 shut out of MacArthur.
Due to a series of losses from big teams midway through the season, Lamar was able to find its way back near the top ten after blanking district opponent Chavez.
North Shore defeated Atascocita 31-21 to improve to 5-1 on the season as the Mustangs put the toughest district game behind them.
Redemption, one word to describe Judson's 68-6 win over East Central two weeks removed from a brutal loss to #5 Steele.
Once again, the Katy Tigers are playing typical Katy football. The Tigers have made their presence known as they look to win yet another district title, drubbing Seven Lakes, 52-7.
Ridge Point defeated Fort Bend foe, Travis, 31-16 to remain unbeaten in its innagural 6A season.
The Bobcats remain one of the few unbeatens in Texas' 6A class, defeating Midland Lee 35-21.
After a 28-7 win over Naaman Forest, the 6-0 Eagles soar into the top 20.
Friendwood's most recent win over Clear Brook (41-7) means the Mustangs have now outscored opponents 125-15 in the last two games.
The Bulldogs burst on to the scene at 6-0 heading into a game with #24 Atascocita (5-1).
The Mustangs lit up the scoreboard in a 73-45 win over Cypress Springs to remain perfect.
Guyer took care of McKinney 42-7 behind a stellar defensive performance from the Wildcats.
The Midland Bulldogs burst into the top 25 after a one point win over previously ranked Odessa Permian 49-48.
Atascocita fell to a highly-coveted North Shore squad, 31-21, as the Eagles lose their first game of the season.
Westlake suffered a major blow in its district title hopes after dropping its ninth straight game to #4 Lake Travis. More importantly for the Chaps however, Texas-commit QB Sam Ehlinger struggles to remain healthy.
The Chargers came out of no where and shocked the city of Houston as they took down goliath Dickinson, 23-7, to improve to 5-1.
