CCS Senior of the Year
MASON RANDALL, SACRED HEART PREP

Short of winning three straight state titles, things could hardly have gone much better for SHP quarterback Mason Randall (6-1, 185), who threw for 2,894 yards and 28 touchdowns his senior year.

Sacred Heart Prep finished in a three-way tie for first in the Peninsula Athletic League-Bay Division, but saved its best work for the postseason, avenging an earlier defeat to knock off Archbishop Riordan in the Open Division III championship game. The Gators went on to defeat McClymonds in the NorCal playoffs to reach the state title game, where they lost to Rancho Bernardo-San Diego.

Randall was instrumental in the postseason run, completing 41 of 70 passes (59 percent) for 768 yards and eight touchdowns.

He led the Gators to three section titles in a row. Now that football has ended, he’s swapped the football cleats for basketball shoes in type to help out the Gator hoops team.
