Winston was more than complementary to the Doutrive brothers Devonte and Devonaire, serving as an effective guard for the Patriots’ title-winning team. Winston was one of four Birmingham Patriots selected to the section’s All-City team. Coach of the Year Nick Halic led the Patriots to their first championship in the Open Division.
