    Breakers come from behind to improve to 16-0

    Pacific Grove rode a four-run fifth inning to post a come-from-behind 7-4 victory over visiting Galena (Reno) Thursday afternoon to improve to 16-0 on the season. The Breakers trailed 4-3 heading into the bottom of the fifth but rallied to take the lead and held on for the win.     The second-seeded Sacred Heart Prep Gators (10-1) didn’t allow the No. 7 Pacific Grove Breakers (7-4) a single point during the first half of their CCS Division IV playoff match on Saturday afternoon.     Pacific Grove reaches D-III title game with 3-2 win over Carmel

    The Pacific Grove baseball team moved one step closer to its first CCS title since 1998 with a 3-2 victory over Carmel Tuesday afternoon in a CCS Division III semifinal at San Jose Municipal Stadium. The ninth-seeded Breakers (19-10) advance to meet Menlo in the championship game Saturday at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Second-seeded Menlo (22-7) reached the final with an 8-2 win over No. 3 Monte Vista Christian (25-5). Carmel ended its season with a 20-10 mark. ...Read more
