    Mitty rallies late to tip Soquel

    Although the Mitty Monarchs (23-5) trailed the Soquel Knights (20-7) until there was a minute left in regulation, they put up a strong final rally to win the game, 59-57. Mitty all-star Aaron Gordon served as the backbone and driving force behind his team, managing 27 points, five blocks and two dunks. No other Monarchs scored more than nine points, while Soquel had four sharpshooters that scored in double digits. Soquel also had 12 3-pointers compared to Mitty’s two. ...Read more

    Bells scrape by plucky Knights, 54-52

    The Bellarmine Bells (7-0) eked out a 54-52 win over the Soquel Knights (5-2) in the final minutes of the game Saturday night. Though the Bells led almost the entire game, the score was close throughout, and Soquel even managed to pull ahead, 47-45, with four minutes to go until Bellarmine guard Isaac Gayles hit a huge three-pointer to put the Bells ahead for good.
