    Menlo-Atherton downs Hillsdale in key PAL contest

    Menlo-Atherton scored three runs in the first two innings and held on for a key Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division win, 4-2, over host Hillsdale Friday afternoon. With the victory, the Bears (16-9, 6-6 PAL-Bay) remained a game ahead of the Knights (13-12, 5-7) in the race for the fourth and final automatic Central Coast Section playoff bid from the PAL-Bay.     Lowell rides six-run fourth to defeat Hillsdale

    Lowell broke open a close game with six runs in the fourth inning on the way to a 9-2 win over host Hillsdale in a non-league baseball game Tuesday afternoon. Following a loss to El Camino on Wednesday, the Knights have dropped four games and a row and have fallen to 9-7 overall. Lowell is now 17-4 after a win over Sacred Heart Prep Saturday. ...Read more

    The Hillsdale boys soccer team won an important Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division match Friday afternoon, defeating visiting Westmoor, 2-0, to keep its CCS playoff hopes alive. With the victory, the Knights (3-3-5, 2-2-3, 9 points PAL-Bay) remain in contention for one of the three automatic bids in a tight PAL-Bay race.
