    Terra Nova beats M-A; moves step closer to title

    Terra Nova moved a big step closer to a PAL-Bay Division title with a surprisingly easy 38-14 win at Menlo-Atherton Friday night. The victory leaves the Tigers (5-4, 3-1 PAL-Bay) needing only a win next week at last-place Half Moon Bay in the annual Skull Game Friday night. The loss ended any hopes of the Bears (5-4, 3-2) capturing a league title; however, Menlo-Atherton has already clinched an automatic bid into the CCS playoffs. ...Read more

    Aragon completes comeback over Terra Nova

    Aragon was down by five with 38 seconds left in the game. The Dons faced a fourth-and-17 from the Terra Nova 30-yard line. It was all or nothing for quarterback Nathaniel Blood and the Aragon Dons. He dropped back in the pocket and threw a prayer to his favorite target, wide receiver Aldo Severson, who made the catch in double coverage.     Junior tailback Elijah Dale scored five touchdowns to lead St. Ignatius to a 46-26 win over Terra Nova Friday night in Pacifica. Senior QB Jack Stinn tossed two TD passes for the Wildcats, who improved to 1-1 with the victory.     Thursday’s CCS Division III round two meeting between the Mills Vikings (17-9) and the Terra Nova Tigers (21-5) in Millbrae featured a head-to-head matchup of two great scorers with #22 on their jerseys: Mills’ Nick Martz (20 points) and Terra Nova’s Nick Manessis (23 points).     Terilyn Moe and Jayzyl Tauala ran the show for the Terra Nova Tigers as they defeated the Gunderson Grizzlies 67-39 in a CCS Division III girls basketball playoff game Saturday afternoon at Santa Clara High School. The top-seeded Tigers (22-5) advance to the D-III semifinals at Sacred Heart Cathedral, where they will face San Mateo Wednesday night.     Terra Nova knocks off Branham, 48-43, to advance to CCS 2nd round

    The 13th-seeded Terra Nova Tigers (15-11) defeated the No. 12 Branham Bruins (14-12) in a CCS Division III boys first-round matchup Tuesday night at Branham. The Tigers led the entire game, but Branham kept the game close. Terra Nova sophomore guard Jaylend Jones led the way for the Tigers with 17 points while senior center Darnell Sankey paced the Bruins with 17.
