    Santa Teresa upsets second-ranked Leland

    On an extremely windy Tuesday afternoon, the 10th-ranked Santa Teresa softball team upset No. 2 Leland, 6-3, to move into a tie for second place in the Blossom Valley Athletic League Mount Hamilton Division standings. The defeat broke an eight-game winning streak for the host Chargers (15-2, 4-1 BVAL-MH), while the Saints (12-4, 4-1) increased their winning streak to six games. ...Read more

    Mt. Pleasant scores two in first to defeat Santa Teresa

    The Mt. Pleasant boys soccer team scored a pair of first-half goals for a 2-0 win at Santa Teresa Thursday afternoon. The win, coupled with a tie between Leigh and Lincoln vaulted the Cardinals (11-1-4, 8-1-1 BVAL-MH, 25 points) back into sole possession of first place in the Blossom Valley Athletic League Mount Hamilton Division. Despite the loss, the Saints (6-4-6, 4-3-3, 15) are still in prime position for a berth into the CCS playoffs. The top three teams in the BVAL-MH receive automatic bids into the playoffs, and Santa Teresa finds itself tied for third with Lincoln (5-5-4, 4-3-3) with four matches left. ...Read more
