Riordan announces sites of home football games

September 1, 2015

Riordan High will play two of its home games at City College of San Francisco and two at Terra Nova High in Pacifica, according to a news release issued today from the school.

Said the release: “In light of the combination of current drought conditions and anticipated heavy rainfall this fall and winter, school and athletics leadership decided to look into alternate sites that would fare better in poor weather than the long-time grass-field home of the Crusaders.

"The department of athletics has been working with both City College of San Francisco and Terra Nova High School in Pacifica to move our four Varsity and Junior Varsity home football games to those respective sites for the 2015 season. We want to express our thanks to these two schools for helping us to relocate games.”

Riordan is the second WCAL school in as many years to play some of its home games at Terra Nova. Last year Sacred Heart Cathedral – while Kezar Stadium was having a running track installed – moved most of its home games to Terra Nova, while another game was played at Westmoor High in Daly City. SHC is back to playing at Kezar again this season.

All Riordan freshmen games will be played on the Riordan campus.

Here are the Riordan varsity and junior varsity home games impacted:
