Lawson new Carondelet athletic director

June 30, 2015

Caitlin Lawson has been named the new athletic director at Carondelet. She is a 2005 Carondelet alumna.

“Caitlin brings an intelligence, passion and enthusiasm for athletics, education and the tradition of Carondelet,” said school president Bonnie Cotter via release. “As a student-athlete who excelled both here at Carondelet and in collegiate sports, Caitlin understands the discipline it takes to be a true team player.”

Lawson is replacing the retiring Gleam Green who was the AD since 2000. She most recently worked at Bentley School where she was the K-8 athletic director. Before that she was the assistant AD at Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles.

Lawson played volleyball at Pepperdine.

“I am honored to return to Carondelet to lead a department that features some of the most competitive girls’ sports teams in the region,” Lawson said.

Carondelet also named Kellie Elliott as a special adviser to the athletic department. She has more than two decades of experience in professional, collegiate and Olympic management positions.

Carondelet, an all-girls’ school, has 26 sports teams and about 500 student-athletes.
