The Peninsula Athletic League announced its all-league girls basketball teams last week, for both the North and South divisions.
After leading Menlo-Atherton to an unbeaten run in the PAL-South, a PAL tournament title, and a berth in the CCS Open Division, the Bears' Greer Hoyem was named Most Valuable Player of the South Division.
Likewise, South San Francisco's Brittney Cedeno was named Most Valuable Player of the North Division, after leading the Warriors to an unbeaten record in the PAL-North, and a berth in the PAL title game opposite M-A. Top-seeded SSF plays in the Division 3 semifinals this week against Aptos, after beating Notre Dame in the quarterfinals.
Both players are juniors who will be back to lead their teams in the 2017-2018 season.
