Marcus Northcutt is resigning as the San Lorenzo Valley boys basketball coach and will be Watsonville High’s next athletic director, said current Watsonville AD Saul Ruiz who is moving to the Central Valley following this school year.
San Lorenzo Valley is now advertising for a new basketball coach following Northcutt’s successful run in that position. The Cougars went 20-7, 9-3 last season.
Ruiz has decided to leave Watsonville due to the high cost of homes and living in general in the Central Coast.
