McPherson advances to 4A Division I championship

No. 2 seed McPherson Bullpups (18-6) beat No. 3 seed Louisburg (16-7) by a score of 4-3 to advance to the Kansas class 4A Division I state softball championship game.

The championship game pits McPherson against Augusta at 2 pm at Bill Burke Complex in Salina.

will start at 2:00pm at Bill Burke Complex in Salina against the winner of Augusta and Fort Scott. McPherson split a double-header against Augusta on April 21 winning the first game 8-4 and losing the second game 13-3.

This Bullpup team is trying to achieve history as McPherson high school has won a total of 27 state championships since opening in 1963, but none of those have come in softball.
