Junior quarterback Ben Sanford tossed three touchdown passes as Christopher snapped a two-game losing streak with a 42-12 win over visiting Watsonville Friday night in MBL-Pacific play.
Sanford completed 17 of 24 passes for 227 yards for the Cougars (7-2, 3-2 MBL-Pacific), who were coming off defeats at the hands of Gilroy and Alisal. Junior right end Jason Scrigiione caught four passes for 67 yards and two touchdowns.
Christopher wraps up its regular season Friday night at Monterey (3-6, 2-3) while Watsonville (5-3, 2-2) hosts rival Pajaro Valley (1-8, 0-5).
