OAKDALE,CA -- Oakdale girls volleyball started strong to take the 3-1 set win over Hughson on Tuesday night.
Oakdale capitalized during long rallies in each of the first two sets, taking both, before Hughson won the third set. Oakdale, however, captured the fourth set for the 25-21, 25-21, 23-25, 25-21 victory.
“Tonight was a big battle for points on both sides of the net,” said Hughson coach Sarah Beers. "My girls played a very defensive game and I am proud that they showed up ready to play.”
“We knew coming into this game that Hughson was going to be a very close game for us,”said Oakdale coach Heather Gonzales. "I told my girls throughout the game to work and play at their full potential.”
