James Logan raced out to a 41-point lead in the first quarter en route to an easy 68-0 win over visiting American in an MVAL game Friday night.
The Colts (7-1, 4-0 MVAL) jumped out to a 41-0 lead in the first quarter to cruise past the Eagles (2-6, 0-4), as they notched a second straight win over a league opponent by the same score. A pair of interception returns for touchdowns - one by Chase Sims and another by Jeremiah Johnson - highlighted the action in the first quarter for Logan, as did a 55-yard punt return for a score from Johnson. Quarterback Shamoun Duncan-Niusulu capped the first quarter with his 26-yard touchdown pass to Jeremiah Patterson.
Sims added a 12-yard scoring run in the second quarter, before Jedric Reyes got into the act with a 13-yard jaunt to the end zone for a 55-0 halftime advantage. Angelo Forbes and Jalen Henderson rounded out the scoring with second-half touchdown runs.
