DUBLIN - Three different Dublin pitchers stymied the Livermore bats on Monday afternoon, blanking the Cowboys 5-0 in a game that was originally scheduled for Friday before the rain came yet again.
Scott Grier and Reed Gaynor allowed just three hits over the first five innings, combining to strike out seven, and junior Nick Costello slammed the door in the sixth and seventh, striking out three and allowing just one base-runner on a walk. Meanwhile, Grant Manning doubled twice and Koby Seely scored twice after drawing a pair of walks as the Gaels scored in four different innings.
Dublin took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, as Manning led off the inning with a double, Seely walked and Ethan Liao reached on an error to load the bases. Anthony Tokunaga's fly ball to center was deep enough to score Manning, with Seely advancing to third. With two outs, Liao and Seely executed a double-steal of second and home to bring in the next run. Tokunaga added another RBI in the bottom of the fourth, when his single to left field scored Seely, who had led off the inning with another walk.
