Campolindo overcame a one-point halftime deficit by scoring 51 points in the final two quarters for a 96-84 win over Lincoln-Stockton in the opening game of the Modesto Christian Holiday Hoops Classic on Wednesday morning.
The Cougars led by just two points entering the fourth quarter, despite a 30-point effort in the third quarter, but held the Trojans to 11 points in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win. Sophomore Chase Bennett came off the bench to hit seven three-pointers and score a game-high 25 points in the win for the Cougars, including six three-pointers in the third quarter outburst.
Sophomore Max Weaver added to the charge by the Campolindo underclassmen with 20 points, including seven in the fourth quarter, while junior Carter Mahaney scored all 16 of his points in the second half.
