Lynbrook erupted for 35 second-half points on the way to a 49-35 win at Harker Friday night. Senior running back Kyle Williams rushed for four second-half touchdowns to spark the Vikings (3-6, 1-4 in SCVAL-El Camino Division), who came back from a 20-14 halftime deficit. The Eagles finish their season at 3-7, 1-5 in the SCVAL-EC.
Harker took a 35-28 lead with 11:29 left in the game on a 5-yard TD run by quarterback Spenser Quash, who then added a two-point conversion toss to Robert Deng. But the Vikings responded with three straight touchdowns. A 1-yard run by Tim Wallis tied the score at 35-35 with 9:22 remaining and a pair of fourth quarter scores from Williams (1, 6 yards) led Lynbrook to the victory.
Quarterback Gabe Wagner-Rosales added two rushing touchdowns for the Vikings, who conclude their season next Friday night (7:30) at home against Los Altos. Lynbrook rushed for over 400 yards, as tailback Eric Day led the way with 158 yards rushing and senior Tim Wallis contributed 105 yards. Kicker Denis Nakelchick converted all seven of his PAT attempts.
Harker was led by Quash, who threw 3 TD passes - one each to Deng (10 yards), Devonte Smith (53) and Keanu Forbes (36) - to go with two rushing touchdowns.
