Seniors Noah Evaristo and Nick Melchor also scored for the Grizzlies (6-1, 4-0 BVAL-ST), who remain atop the BVAL-Santa Teresa "B" Division standings with Lincoln (5-1, 4-0), a 25-7 winner over Live Oak Friday night. It was the fifth straight loss for the Cardinals (1-6, 0-4), who are still looking for their first league victory of the season.
Mt. Pleasant takes on Branham (0-7, 0-4) in a matchup of teams looking for their first win in league play next Friday night as Branham celebrates Homecoming. The Grizzlies pay a visit to Live Oak next Friday night and needs to win to set up a potential first-place showdown with Lincoln on Nov. 2 at Gunderson.
