Junior quarterback Ian Santos tossed two touchdown passes and ran for another as El Camino downed host Carlmont, 27-0, Friday night in PAL-Lake action. With the win, the Colts improved to 4-3 (2-1 in PAL-Lake). The Scots fall to 1-6 (0-3).
El Camino scored a touchdown in each quarter and the Colt defense posted its third shutout of the season. Santos opened the scoring in the first quarter with a one-yard run to get El Camino on the board, 7-0. In the second quarter, Santos threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Taj Childs.
In the third quarter, Santos found senior wide receiver Jose Sanchez on a 65-yard scoring play and then hit Childs for the two-point conversion to give the Colts a 21-0 lead. Senior fullback Jarrod Goff capped the scoring with a five-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
The Colts host Mills next Friday afternoon (3 pm). Carlmont plays host to Hillsdale next Friday night (7 pm).
