In a non-league battle between two of the most perennially successful programs in the North Bay, Redwood got individual goals from four different players to rout Marin Academy, 4-0, on Thursday.
Shawn Clarke, Stanley Gaither, Erez Weitzman and Billy Gramajo all chipped in goals for the Giants, who led 2-0 at the half and then added another pair to hand the Wildcats their second straight one-sided loss to start the season.
Redwood (2-1) has now won two straight after dropping its opener to Vintage, including a 2-1 win over Branson in its MCAL opener on Tuesday. Senior Kaden Gibbs and junior Ethan Kahn each scored in the win over the Bulls.
Redwood plays at Novato on Saturday. The Hornets routed San Marin on Tuesday, 6-2, in their season opener.
