SAN JOSE - A pair of first-half goals were all that was allowed last Friday in a BVAL-Mt. Hamilton showdown between Leigh and Sobrato, who each remained unbeaten in league play after a 1-1 tie.
Leigh's Britney Cooksey and Sobrato's Emily Pfefferlen each scored in the first half, but neither team could find the net in the second half.
Leigh (7-1-5, 5-0-4 MH) went on to take down Santa Teresa, 2-0, on Tuesday evening, to keep pace with Sobrato (8-0-6, 6-0-4), who tied Leland on Tuesday evening.
Sobrato faces Piedmont Hills on Friday, while Leigh hosts Willow Glen.
