Senior Andrew Oduor ran for 157 yards and a touchdown to lift Homestead to a key 22-19 win over visiting Los Altos Friday night in SCVAL-De Anza play.
Junior Casey Latini and senior Jack Barden also ran for scores for the Mustangs (3-4, 2-1 SCVAL-DA) in a game that was close throughout. The top four teams in the SCVAL-DA receive automatic bids to the CCS playoffs and the win boosted Homestead into sole possession of third place, a half-game ahead of Los Gatos and Palo Alto.
Homestead hosts Los Gatos (2-4, 1-1) Friday night while Los Altos (1-5, 0-3) hosts Saratoga (0-6, 0-2).
