Live Oak scored seven runs in the first two innings and cruised to an 11-1 win over rival Sobrato in a Blossom Valley Athletic League Mount Hamilton Division softball game Tuesday afternoon.
Senior Rachel Ditta and sophomore Makayla Gause powered the Acorns' 12-hit attack with three hits apiece as Live Oak took a 7-1 lead after two innings. Sophomore Tiffany Moore drove in five runs with a home run and a double.
Sophomore Bre Sabala scored three runs for the Acorns (10-17, 5-9 BVAL-MH), who finished the season with a loss to Santa Teresa on Thursday. Ditta also went the distance on the mound to record the victory, holding the Bulldogs to six hits and one run. Sophomore Macie Blakeman had three of Sobrato's six hits.
