Juniors Limi Ahmed and Gonzalez Dominique paced a 12-hit attack as Gunderson defeated James Lick, 14-10, in Blossom Valley Athletic League West Valley Division softball game Wednesday afternoon.
Ahmed and Dominique had three hits apiece as the Grizzlies scored in every inning except for the fourth. Ahmed reached base all five times - three singles, a walk and a hit by pitch - and scored four runs. Dominique was 3-for-3 with a run scored and sophomore Kayleigh Sharkey went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored.
Junior Madison Zeber also had three runs scored for Gunderson (4-7, 3-4 BVAL-WV), which followed up the win over the Comets (0-4-1 BVAL-WV) with a loss to Andrew Hill. The Grizzlies next face Overfelt Thursday afternoon at home while James Lick visits Del Mar. Both games start at 4 pm.
