Pinewood punched its ticket to the state Division V girls basketball finals by defeating Eastside College Prep 48-36 on Saturday morning at American Canyon High in the NorCal Regional title game.
It was Pinewood's seventh regional title in 12 tries.
Pinewood led 13-6 after one quarter and maintained that lead, led by Leeana Bade who scored 18 points and Marissa Hing who tossed in 17. Charmaine Bradford led Eastside, which has just six players, with 14 points.
Pinewood (23-8) will meet Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth at 10 a.m. Friday at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento.
