Sophomore Erin Hanley scored a team-high 12 points as second-ranked St. Ignatius rolled past host Presentation, 60-33, Saturday night. The win kept the Wildcats (14-3, 4-2 WCAL) one game behind first-place Archbishop Mitty and Sacred Heart Cathedral at the halfway point of the West Catholic Athletic League season. The Panthers (8-10, 2-4) are in fifth place, three games behind.
In other WCAL action, third-ranked Sacred Heart Cathedral forced a tie atop the league standings with a 56-51 road victory over Mitty. St. Ignatius is alone in third place.
Sophomore Sydney Raggio added 11 points for the Wildcats, who also received nine points from sophomore Joleen Yang. Yet another sophomore, Tyler Brown, led St. Ignatius with nine rebounds.
The second half of league play begins Tuesday as Presentation hosts Mitty. St. Ignatius has a bye before traveling to Mitty Friday night.
